And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell,
and I understood more than I saw;
for I was seeing in a sacred manner
the shapes of things in the spirit,
and the shape of all shapes
as they must live together like one being.

The story you are about to read is true.

stupid...

Today's bozo criminal comes from Valdosta, Georgia. Bozo Jim Scott broke out of a south Georgia jail
and fled to California where he was enjoying life as a free man. He was enjoying life a little too much,
as a matter of fact. Jim was having a few drinks in a Sacramento bar and bragging to anyone who
would listen that he was too smart for any jail to hold him and that he was a wanted man in Georgia.
After a couple more drinks he nodded off at the bar. The bartender called the police, who came by,
woke him up and took him to jail.
" sword of Damocles   "
PRONUNCIATION:
(  sord uhv DAM-uh-kleez )
MEANING:
noun:
An ever-present threat; an impending disaster.
ETYMOLOGY:
After Damocles of Greek legend. Damocles was a courtier who flattered the ruler Dionysius,
tyrant of Syracuse, to excess. The fulsome praise so annoyed the king that he decided to
teach him a lesson. He held a banquet in honor of Damocles but when Damocles saw the
sword hanging by a single horse-hair over his head, he lost all taste for the lavish feast. He
realized that even those who appear to enjoy great fortune face fears and worries. By the
way, the word impending literally means hanging over.

Great Spirit

G
reat Spirit,
give us hearts to understand;
Never to take from creation's beauty more than we give;
Never to destroy wantonly for the furtherance of greed;
Never to deny to give our hands for the building of earth's beauty;
Never to take from her what we cannot use.

Give us hearts to understand
That to destroy earth's music is to create confusion;
That to wreck her appearance is to blind us to beauty;
That to callously pollute her fragrance is to make a house of stench;
That as we care for her she will care for us.

We have forgotten who we are.
We have sought only our own security.
We have exploited simply for our own ends.
We have distorted our knowledge.
We have abused our power.

Great Spirit, whose dry lands thirst,
help us to find the way to refresh your lands.

Great Spirit, whose waters are choked with debris and pollution,
help us to find the way to cleanse your waters.

Great Spirit, whose beautiful earth grows ugly with mis-use,
help us to find the way to restore beauty to your handiwork.

Great Spirit, whose creatures are being destroyed,
help us to find a way to replenish them.

Great Spirit, whose gifts to us are being lost
in selfishness and corruption,
      help us to find the way to restore our humanity.

When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

Cree Prophecy
Once we have successfully accomplished something...
created value in our life... we know we  can do it again....and again.
It may have required a lot of work the first time....
yet we rose to the occasion... did the work... and created something of value.

It will take more work to do it again... this is true... and this time we have the
opportunity to accomplish even more.

When wee know without a doubt that we can achieve...
we should make the choice right now to do what we know we can do.

It is a shame for us to waste the opportunities and simply rest on our
accomplishment... much of the value in any accomplishment ...
is in the opportunity it provides us to reach even higher.

We can go ahead now and make full use of that opportunity..
achieve again... and again... and lift our world higher with each day.
