Bozo Jim Scott broke out of a south Georgia jail and fled to California where he was enjoying life as a free man. He was enjoying life a little too much, as a matter of fact. Jim was having a few drinks in a Sacramento bar and bragging to anyone who would listen that he was too smart for any jail to hold him and that he was a wanted man in Georgia. After a couple more drinks he nodded off at the bar. The bartender called the police, who came by, woke him up and took him to jail. |

Alexander Winton, driving his Winton Bullet, set the first speed record ever achieved at Daytona Beach, Florida. Built
in 1902 the "Bullet Number 1" drove a measured mile at over 65mph.

as a third German military service to join the Reich army and navy. In the same decree, Hitler appointed Hermann

The first contingent of South Korean troops arrives in Saigon. Although assigned to non-combat duties, they came

Johnson hoped to build an international consensus behind his policies in Vietnam. The effort was also known as the

| Once we have successfully accomplished something... created value in our life... we know we can do it again....and again.
